Annual Youth Art Exhibition

January 21, 2021

Every March, Youth Art Month is celebrated across the country to bring focus to the significance of art education and the value of the visual arts as a vital element of individual and community. ShenArts is proud to present this juried exhibition of work from local youth artists as a part of the Youth Art Month initiative and to support the area’s budding creatives. This show features works submitted by artists ranging from kindergarten through high school and includes art from students enrolled in both private and public school as well as those who are homeschooled. ShenArts hopes that this exhibit will serve as a shining example of the talent and creativity found in our community’s youth, as well as a testament to the dedication and heart provided by the area’s art teachers/instructors.

This program is made possible in part by the generous support of the Marion Park Lewis Foundation, Sheetz and Walmart.

2021 Youth Art Month Virtual Exhibition

Submit Your Work Today! Free to Enter!!

Young artists in grades K-8 are invited to submit up to 2 works for consideration to be included in the 2021 Virtual Youth Art Month Exhibition.

(If you are a teen who would like to display your work with ShenArts for Youth Art Month, visit out Teen Art Club page to learn more about our first Annual Teen Art Club Exhibition.)

As an exciting addition to this year’s Youth Art Month Exhibition, a jury of the ShenArts Board of Directors will select 1-2 artworks from this exhibition to be included in our annual ArtScape banner program that will hang for a year on the Old Town Walking Mall. Find out more about ArtScape here. (If you want to be included in the YAM Exhibition, but do not want to be included for consideration in the ArtScape program, please opt out on your submission form.)

The 2021 Youth Art Month Virtual Exhibition will go live on March 5th, 2021.

Submit your work below.

Please note when selecting images for submission that this is a VIRTUAL EXHIBITION. ShenArts will not be able to include works that do not have suitable images submitted for inclusion. Please submit clear photos taken straight on facing the artwork. Take your photos in natural light if possible. When photographing a 3D work, please place it in front of a solid background. If you have any questions about taking a good photo for your submission, please contact Christy Broy at [email protected]
