2023 Youth Art Show
Every March, Youth Art Month is celebrated nationwide to bring focus to the arts and its impact on the total education and growth of young people. ShenArts joins organizations across the country in encouraging a commitment to art education, for building not only creativity, but also problem solving, observation, and communication.
THE CALL FOR ART FOR THE 2024 EXHIBITION WILL BE OPENING IN NOVEMBER 2023 – WATCH FOR IT!
ShenArts is proud to present this juried exhibition as a part of the Youth Art Month initiative and to support the area’s budding creatives. This show serves as a shining example of the talent and creativity found in our community’s youth, as well as a testament to the dedication and heart provided by local art teachers/instructors. We feature artists from Kindergarten through 12th grade, in private school, public school, and homeschool.
As a special incentive for these young artists, all artwork in the exhibit is considered for our ArtScape program. ShenArts selected four pieces this year to reproduce as ArtScape banners, which are now hanging in Old Town Winchester until May 2024!
The selected artworks are part of the ArtScape originals exhibition at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley Art in the Halls gallery from April – July, 2023. Artists were invited to a reception and artist-sponsor mixer at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley on Sunday, April 23, 2023, 2:00-4:00 pm.
Special thanks to Mosaic Church and Navy Federal Credit Union for supporting this program!
