Celebrating its tenth year, ArtScape successfully transformed the Old Town walking mall into an outdoor gallery, presenting more than 30 colorful banners featuring works by local artists. This exhibition ran from April 16, 2019 – July 14, 2019 and included the original artworks selected for the 2019-2020 ArtScape display. This program is organized by the Shenandoah Arts Council in collaboration with Old Town Winchester. It is supported by local sponsors, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
ArtScape is a public art program open to artists of all ages that is meant to represent all walks of life and all brands and levels of talent; a group of work with diverse themes to create a shared experience of art by an entire community. ArtScape is not a contest of who is the “best.”
