Part-Time Exhibition Manager
ShenArts is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Exhibition Manager to curate, coordinate, and promote exhibitions and art-related events. This part-time position (20+ hours per week) offers an excellent opportunity to engage with the local arts community while ensuring high-quality exhibitions and artist engagement. The ideal candidate will have experience in exhibition management, strong communication skills, and a passion for supporting artists and the arts.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, curate, and manage art exhibitions, ensuring a professional and engaging gallery environment.

Maintain an organized exhibit schedule by coordinating the call-for-art process. Including, but not limited to artist outreach, selection, notifications, art drop off and pick-up times.

Oversee the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions, coordinating logistics with artists and volunteers.

Promote exhibitions through the website, social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.

Build and maintain relationships with artists, collectors, sponsors, and community partners.

Secure sponsorships from local businesses and organizations to support exhibitions and events.

Represent ShenArts at networking events to enhance community visibility and engagement.

Maintain exhibit records including name of artist, artwork, media, sale price, sizing and framing.
Qualifications

Experience in curating and coordinating exhibitions or similar events.

Strong marketing and promotional skills, particularly in digital and social media.

Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Proficiency with Adobe design software, website management, and digital marketing tools is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic arts environment.
