Seen and Heard

August 18, 2020

Art has long played a vital part in social movements, and the role of the artist can range from documentarian of these moments to active participant. Art offers a way to express what can otherwise be difficult to convey and provides a powerful illumination of society that can inspire discourse and change. This exhibition presents thirty works from northern Shenandoah Valley artists that provide a snapshot of the current events and social issues dominating our times.
