Call for Art! Teen Art Club will host its first juried exhibition at the Shenandoah Arts Council in March 2021. Teens (age 13 and up) who wish to participate may submit up to two works of art for selection. Submissions can be dropped off at the MSV on February 11, 2021 from 4:30–6:00pm (during February’s Teen Art Club meeting slot). Artists whose work is selected will also receive a certificate of participation in the show.
This exhibition will hang for the months of March and April in conjunction with Youth Art Month (March) and will be a companion to ShenArts’ annual Youth Art Month Show which showcases artwork from youth of all ages. This “teen only” option is geared towards taking participating artists through the process of planning for and submitting to a juried exhibition, and what comes next if selected. The exhibition will be housed in the ShenArts Gallery at the Hexagon House at 530 Amherst St. in Winchester.*
We would love to hear what you are thinking about submitting and we are always available to give you guidance and feedback, so do not hesitate to get in touch if you need some help planning your submissions. We can even set up a zoom to take a look at what you’re working on and talk one-on-one!
