ArtScape 12

May 10, 2021

ArtScape is a public art program open to artists of all ages that is meant to represent all walks of life and all brands and levels of talent; a group of work with diverse themes to create a shared experience of art by an entire community. ArtScape is not a contest of who is the “best.”

Now in its 12th year, ArtScape has successfully transformed the Old Town walking mall into an outdoor art gallery, accessible to all. This year the program has expanded to showcase the work of regional artists on a total of 60 banners located throughout downtown Winchester. This exhibition includes the original artworks selected for the 2021-2022 display, including works from three young local artists chosen by jury from ShenArts’ Youth Art Month exhibition and the first annual Teen Art Club Exhibition collaboration with the MSV. ArtScape 12 is organized by ShenArts in collaboration with Old Town Winchester and is supported by local sponsors.

ShenArts serves the community of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, expanding awareness and supporting the arts through programming, instruction, and exhibitions.

The ArtScape 12 originals were exhibited at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley from 04.20.21-07.18.21. The featured artworks are now viewable as banners hanging throughout downtown Winchester, Virginia.
