Heather Williams is a Berryville, VA-based artist and 12-year Navy veteran specializing in the vibrant, unpredictable medium of alcohol ink. A member of the ShenArts Co-op and a resident artist at the Hill High Marketplace Artists’ Loft in Round Hill, Heather is known for her live painting demonstrations and technical workshops.

Heather holds a background in Ocean and Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and the Naval Postgraduate School. While her career has been deeply technical, art has remained a lifelong passion. As a self-taught artist, she has spent over six years mastering the complex fluid dynamics of alcohol ink, refining her ability to capture light, shadow, and depth on non-porous surfaces such as ceramic, glass, and treated canvas. Her work is a testament to her relentless drive to find beauty within technical challenges.
