ShenArts hosts rolling, juried exhibitions throughout the year at our gallery space on the Old Town Walking Mall, and at off-site spaces including the airport, courthouse and more.

Wish You Were Here
Wish You Were Here invites artists to explore the postcard as both format and concept. Rooted in the familiar 5 × 7 size, this exhibit challenges artists to consider how scale, limitation, and intention shape meaning.
The postcard is traditionally a vehicle for communication—brief, personal, portable, and sent across distance—and this exhibition asks artists to engage with those ideas while reimagining what a postcard can be.

Our Valley
Our Valley is an exhibition celebrating the landscapes, people, and stories that define the Shenandoah Valley here in Virginia. This exhibit invites artists to honor the spirit of Winchester and the surrounding region through work that explores our past, present, and future.
​
We are seeking artwork that captures the beauty of our rolling hills, farmland, historic streets, and open skies, as well as the individuals and communities who shape life here. Artists are encouraged to reflect on the deep roots of this place — its agricultural heritage, layered history, traditions, and resilience — while also considering contemporary life and the evolving vision for our Valley’s future.

Farm To Table
Farm to Table invites artists to explore and celebrate the full story of food — from soil to supper, pasture to plate. This exhibition honors the hands that grow, harvest, prepare, and gather, and reflects on nourishment in every sense of the word: physical, cultural, and communal.
​
We encourage artists to consider the quiet beauty of early mornings with the chickens, rows of crops stretching toward the horizon, roadside farm stands, family recipes passed down through generations, and evenings gathered around the table.
