Kids Art Club at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum

Calling all young artists! The Shenandoah Arts Council invites children to explore their creativity at Kids Art Club, a free-flowing monthly gathering filled with art, imagination, and friendship.

Each month features fun, hands-on creative projects designed to encourage self-expression and introduce children to different artistic materials and techniques. Kids can experiment, create at their own pace, and connect with other young artists in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Families are welcome to drop in at any point during the session.

Each session features a different local artist who introduces young participants to their creative practice through new, hands-on art activities. With a rotating lineup of guest artists, children have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials, techniques, and artistic styles while connecting with creatives from their own community.

Are you a creative individual interested in sharing your

talent with children?

ShenArts is looking for visiting artists to lead our monthly activities. We bring in various artists so children can be exposed to all different media and artistic backgrounds. Artists are responsible for preparing the activity, coordinating their plans with us, and running the 90-minute activity that day. ShenArts provides a stipend for your time, as well as art supplies and adult volunteers to help the kids.
