No experience needed—just bring your creativity and a piece of the past to reimagine for the present.

What to bring:

Scissors (fabric scissors would be ideal)

Lace and/or dollies

Any other small family heirloom you would like to include like a pin or pair less earring

What will be provided for a $5 fee:

Glue

Paint

Paintbrush

Additional textured lace/fabric if needed

Meet Your Instructor: Anjuli Boston

I am a mixed-media artist from Venezuela, born into a German family. For over 20 years, I have been creating across scales and disciplines—from jewelry, textile works, to hangable art pieces. In an age of consumerism and excessive waste, my practice feels like a quiet rebellion: repurposing what many consider rubbish into something meaningful.

My work is guided by the Japanese philosophy of mottainai—a deep respect for resources and a resistance to needless waste. I seek the meeting point of creativity and purpose, where materials carry both history and potential. More than unique objects, each piece becomes a mission to spark awareness around overconsumption and inspire mindful change. Every creation is one of a kind, holding its own story while celebrating individuality and possibility. Here, nothing is wasted. Everything is reimagined.
