Cherry Red
A CALL FOR ART

What is Cherry Red?

It’s more than a color. It’s a symbol, a sensation, a warning, a memory. Its lipstick left on

glass, brake lights in the rain, the taste of summer fruit just past ripeness. Is it bold,

electric, and alive? Or is it a slow-burning, quiet sensation, dark at the core?

We invite artists to explore the emotional, psychological, and symbolic resonances of

Cherry Red—as a hue, as an idea, as a story. Whether you find in it nostalgia or

provocation, sweetness or danger, rage or romance, we want to see how it manifests in

your work.

This is not about literal representation. It's about what simmers beneath the surface. It’s

about tension and vibrancy. About what calls attention, or tries not to.

We’re looking for bold voices and subtle nuances. Work that pulses, glows, or whispers

in the language of red.

All mediums are welcome—painting, sculpture, photography, digital media,

performance, mixed media, and beyond. Show us how Cherry Red lives in your

process, your perspective, and your story.
