Lost and Found is a student and faculty exhibition featuring work by artists from Laurel Ridge Community College and Shenandoah University. The title reflects the current state of the arts within our broader cultural landscape, where appreciation, understanding, and funding are too often diminished or overlooked.
As support for the arts continues to erode, many talented students become lost within educational systems structured around narrow career pathways that leave little room for creative practice. In this environment, artistic voices are frequently marginalized, despite their essential role in shaping culture, critical thinking, and human connection.
Through the act of making, these students have found their way. The works in Lost and Found represent moments of discovery, resilience, and belonging, as emerging artists reclaim space for creative expression and share their talents with the world.
